Hannah Schmidt, the ski cross star from Ottawa, has been carving her path on the slopes since she was just 2 years old. Transitioning to ski cross in 2018, Hannah’s rapid ascent earned her a spot on the National Ski Cross Team, where she’s become a standout athlete. From a top-10 finish at the 2022 Beijing Olympics to back-to-back World Cup wins at Nakiska in 2024, her resilience shines through with her journey being diagnosed with diabetes.
As one of Canada’s top ski cross athletes, Hannah inspires on and off the slopes, engaging fans with her journey and embodying the spirit of determination and excellence.
My goal is to encourage individuals that have diabetes to achieve their goals even if it is going to be harder. The feeling once you reach those goals is even better.
