Emma Maltais, a trailblazing hockey talent from Burlington, Ontario, has turned her passion for the game into a career of historic achievements. After starting with the Burlington Eagles and transitioning to the Oakville Hornets, Emma earned a spot at Ohio State University, where she made an indelible mark. Over six years, she led the Buckeyes to their first Frozen Four, WCHA Championship, and regular season title in program history, graduating as a two-time captain and the all-time points leader.
In 2021, Emma’s dedication paid off as she joined Team Canada’s centralized roster, culminating in an unforgettable gold medal victory at the 2022 Olympics. Drafted to the Toronto Sceptres in the inaugural PWHL draft, Emma and her teammates have their sights set on the Walter Cup.

Who is Emma Maltais ?
Emma Maltais is a force on and off the ice. An advocate for equity in sports, she interned with Voice in Sport (VIS) in 2022, where she championed mentorship and launched the Ohio State VIS Chapter in 2023. The Chapter provides a space for women athletes to build relationships, grow confidence in NIL opportunities, and discuss their experiences.
Beyond her advocacy, Emma’s relatable side shines—whether reminiscing about Gossip Girl or sharing laughs with her mom over Sex and the City. Driven, passionate, and authentic, Emma inspires in every arena she enters.
